Join UCI Dining at Pippin Commons on Wednesday, November 29th from 4:30pm-8pm and learn how you can minimize your food waste! Reducing wasted food conserves energy and resources, preventing pollution involved in the growing, manufacturing, transporting, and selling of food.

UCI Hospitality & Dining holds quarterly Wiping Out Waste events at The Anteatery and Pippin Commons, which serve to educate students about how much food waste is produced daily and how we can all take individual steps to reduce our impact. All food waste from UCI Hospitality & Dining’s dining commons – The Anteatery and Pippin– is anaerobically digested, producing energy for local water and sanitation districts. But not wasting food in the first place saves even more energy and water, while reducing greenhouse gases. Visit us to learn more!
